The Elgin® Road Wizard®, first introduced as part of the Elgin family of sweepers in 2003 has been redesigned and improved, retaining all of the features that made it popular including a simplified, dual-engine design while incorporating what our engineers have learned from a 96 year history in sweeper - and that is the best of both worlds; increased operator efficiency and productivity, along with the latest technology for superior results.

The Road Wizard can be mounted on a selection of commercial cab-over or conventional chassis. The sweep system is powered by a low emission, Tier 4i 74 hp Cummins 3.3 diesel engine, (56 kW @ 2600 RPM) one of the largest standard auxiliary engines available on a mechanical sweeper. The control console, located between the operator stations, provides quick, easy access. All sweep function switches have tactile-feel surfaces, so operators can work the panel while keeping their eyes forward, for added safety and efficiency. With dual free-floating gutter brooms that adjust to variable road surface, a sweep path of 10 feet and a powerful free floating direct drive main broom, you are ensured reliable and complete pickup. Superior dust control is maintained with an in-cab controlled, dual water pump system and a 360 gallon (1363 l) water tank. The Road Wizard?s large 5.4 cubic yard (4.1 cu meters) hopper features a double-scissors lifting mechanism that is center mounted for greater stability, rigidity and trouble free operation. Plus, its dumping height is adjustable up to 10 feet (305 cm).
