Elgin Sweeper helps you take care of the world's environment with the introduction of the Elgin Crosswind CNG, and the new and improved Elgin Eagle CNG. These compressed natural gas sweepers combine clean burning alternative fuel engines with the quality of the Elgin name. Although the Elgin Eagle CNG has been available for the past six years, a new level of technology has helped mold this sweeper into a state-of-the-art machine with increased efficiency. This same technology has been applied to the development of the new Crosswind CNG.

The natural gas propulsion engines of the Elgin CNG products are capable of meeting the ultra-low emitting vehicle (ULEV) standards, and produce only 10% of the pollutants normally emitted by traditional gasoline or diesel engines. And because CNG is economical and abundant in supply, it helps environmentally conscience companies and customers reduce pollution without a big hit to the bank account. 
 
 The Eagle CNG features a 10 foot maximum variable height side dump hopper with 4.5 cubic yard volumetric capacity, 10 foot wide sweeping path, and 2.4 liter compressed natural gas sweeper engine. Features of the Crosswind CNG are a rear dump hopper with 8 cubic yard volumetric capacity, 12 foot wide sweeping path, and 4.2 liter compressed natural gas sweeper engine. Both vehicles have a 5.9 CNG chassis engine, an optional Rule 1186 PM-10 compliance package, and composite tanks providing a diesel fuel equivalent of 52 gallons for extended operation.
